Programs
Alliance
meetings are held for volunteers and advocates to share ideas, strategies,
and advice, and to work together on broader issues affecting open space
in Brookline. Our meetings include speakers and updates on critical
issues and a forum for public comment. Recent meetings have focused
on improving park maintenance with a Maintenance Map Pilot Program,
a report from the chairman of the Massachusetts legislative Committee
on Agriculture, Natural Resources and the Environment, and Larz Anderson
Park restoration. Click the link at the right to download the presentation
on maintenance issues.
Field
trips for the general public are offered on a regular basis to
help people learn more about the urban forest, hidden
sanctuaries, historic parks, wildlife and natural systems in Brookline. These
free
field trips are offered spring, summer and fall. Please check back
soon for the 2008 schedule
