The Great Park Pursuit
The Great Park Pursuit is a team challenge adventure activity that will connect families with the outdoors and their state park resources. Starts May 10. Click here for more information.

The Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC) has recently begun the process of updating the Regional Pedestrian Plan. The Plan will identify and recommend policies to facilitate and encourage walking as a convenient, safe, and practical form of transportation throughout the 101 cities and towns of the Boston region. One piece of the research for the Plan is a survey asking about pedestrian behavior and needs. They’ll use information from this survey to help guide the recommendations and priority issue areas. The survey is online at www.mapc.org/pedplan and takes only 5-10 minutes to complete. Please forward widely.

June 15th Second Annual Charles River Master Swim
Last summer, 68 master swimmers took part in first open water swim race in the Charles since it was closed to swimming in the 1950s. This year’s swim will continue to celebrate the efforts already made to clean the river, and to highlight the need for recreational river swimming for all in the future. Click here to register with the Charles River Swimming Club or contact the CRC’s Swimmable Charles Coordinator Ben Martens for more information at 617-619-2854 or bdm@thecharles.org.
